About this role

Are you seeking a career in an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven, and international setting? Do a face-paced environment and strong growth energize you? Do you want to take on significant value-creation responsibility and gain more international M&A experience within a private equity-backed company? Barentz is looking for a Senior M&A Manager within its Global M&A team.

At Barentz, we are operating a global specialty ingredients distribution platform with diversified exposure to attractive life science and performance materials end-markets. We have enacted a focused strategy to create value for our stakeholders, driven by organic and acquisition-led growth. As we benefit from a highly fragmented distribution market and a continuing consolidation trend, largely driven by our suppliers looking to optimize their sales channels, acquisitions are a fundamental part of our strategy. We leverage our active ‘buy & build’ track record and will continue to allocate excess capital to strategic M&A, focusing on acquiring asset-light, principal-based distribution targets across existing global divisions.

The Global M&A team is responsible for all M&A transactions within Barentz, and this role is performed out of our head offices in the Amsterdam Area and reports directly to the Group M&A Director.

The team consists of four highly motivated team members to advise Barentz senior leadership team and supervisory board on inorganic and strategic decisions and to bring complex and intellectually challenging transactions to successful completion.

Together, you will contribute to delivering on Barentz's strategic objectives by executing value-accreditive transactions to further expand our geographical and strategic footprint, complement our product portfolio and increase scale.
