Barentz is a leading global life science ingredients and performance materials distributor with an accelerated growth trajectory built on organic and buy-and-build growth. The Finance Lead is the thought partner to business leaders in the Human and Animal Nutrition division, bringing the financial insights and data as well as leading the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for the divisions.

About Barentz

Founded in the Netherlands in 1953, Barentz grew from a distributor of nutritional products for one supplier to a leading provider in the global market of performance materials and ingredients for human nutrition, pharmaceuticals, personal care, and animal nutrition, working with more than a thousand supplies and serving over 25,000 customers. The company has built an incredible reputation for solid, lasting partnerships—still working with its first supplier from the fifties—as well as its technical and market expertise.

The strategic investment in Barentz by private equity firm Cinven in 2019 gave the company the platform and expertise to accelerate its global expansion. Since then, Barentz has acquired more than a dozen distributors to deliver on its ambitious plans. The result is a fast and balanced growth trajectory of double-digit organic and acquisition-driven revenue growth, leading to a turnover of 2.5 billion euros in 2022. Human nutrition is Barentz’s largest division and, together with the Animal Nutrition division, accounts for around forty percent of the company’s business results.

Barentz is an exceptionally flat organization with short reporting lines for an enterprise of its size. The value-driven culture attracts entrepreneurial people who strive for impact in the adaptive, fast-growing company as one global team of 2,600 employees.
