Hoofddorp, Netherlands, August, 24, 2026 – Barentz, a leading global specialty ingredients solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Matt Mitchell as Global Vice President, Pharmaceuticals.
Matt has served as Interim Head of the Pharmaceuticals Division since March 2026 and has successfully led the business through a period of continued growth and strategic execution. Following a comprehensive selection process, he has now been appointed to the role on a permanent basis. Matt will also remain a member of Barentz’s Executive Leadership Team.
Matt brings more than 25 years of experience in the specialty ingredients industry, including extensive expertise in pharmaceuticals gained during leadership roles in IFF Pharma Solutions, Dupont, and FMC.
The Pharmaceuticals division is a key strategic pillar within Barentz, serving customers and principal partners across pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, nutraceutical actives, biopharma, and intermediates. With a growing global footprint across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific, the business combines deep technical expertise, regulatory support, and market knowledge to help customers accelerate innovation and bring products to market successfully.
