Barentz appoints Martin Thomsen as Chair of the Supervisory Board

Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, 24 April 2025 – Barentz, a leading global specialty ingredients solutions provider, is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Thomsen as Chair of the Supervisory Board. Martin succeeds Jürgen Steinemann and brings extensive international leadership experience across the distribution and B2B service sectors. Jürgen will continue as a member of the Supervisory Board

Martin has held executive roles in major international organisations, including serving as Regional CEO and Group COO of ISS, and more recently as Group CEO of Rubix. With a strong track record in transforming and scaling businesses, he brings valuable expertise in operational excellence, commercial strategy, and digital transformation. In addition to his executive roles, he holds several board positions and advisory roles, contributing to companies across various industries.

Commenting on his appointment, Martin said: “Barentz has an impressive growth story and a unique entrepreneurial spirit. Martin holds an MSc in Economics from Copenhagen Business School and has completed executive programmes at both Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
