About this role

Job Purpose

We are searching for a Sales Manager to join our Pharma & Nutra Division in Poland with an understanding of the pharmaceutical ingredients market, especially in excipients, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and nutraceuticals. A person who is knowledgeable and well-networked across the Polish pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturing industry. This position will be responsible for handling General Sales Operations, including face-to-face and remote selling to both new and existing customers through various sales channels, assessing customer needs, developing sales bids and proposals, executing the sales contracts, identifying and building relationships with prospective customers, and aligning with the sales strategy to ensure the achievement of sales targets.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Managing the following General Sales Operations processes to ensure the achievement of sales targets:

  • Sales of products to B2B customers

  • Development of existing and new B2B customers

  • Consultation with customers on their formulations and application developments

  • Project pipeline management, documentation, and follow-up.

  • After-sales service non-conformity management

  • Budget, forecast, stock optimization, price, and margin management.

  • Continuous collection and documentation (ERP/CRM) of market information about customers, products, competition, suppliers, applications, and market trends

  • Execution of sales and marketing strategies

  • Active contribution to rollouts of new principals

  • Initiate/follow up sales, including price indications, offers, product and sales data, orders, forecasts, contracts, samples, complaints, and projects.

  • Realize sales targets and budget.

  • Visit customers for sales and customer satisfaction purposes.

  • Develop new strategic business partners/principals.

  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, traders, and customers, and internally with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and QA.

  • Enter all sales-related activities in CRM: Visits, Calls, Samples, Business Opportunities, and Quotes.

  • Report sales orders and customer or product data in CRM.

  • Helped manage old stock and decide on old stock for sales orders.

  • Sign off/approve margin calculations and prices.

  • Collect and send related documents to the Supply Chain or QA.

  • Collect and update market info in CRM to support today’s and future business.

  • Correct sales and customer data processing in CRM and keep this data up to date.

  • Respect ISO & QA procedures and collaborate with QA in case of (new) product verification.

  • Represent the company at industry-related trade fairs, exhibitions, and conferences.

  • Achieve KPI’s.

About You

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biology, or related Life Sciences.

  • 2 or more years of sales experience in pharmaceutical and/or nutraceutical ingredients.

  • Language: Advanced level of written and verbal English + local language

  • Knowledgeable and well-networked across the Polish pharmaceutical and/or nutraceutical manufacturing industry with key contacts at all levels.
