About this role

Job Purpose

Support the CFO EMEA and wider EMEA community with insights and drive regional performance, NWC improvement projects, and process improvements. First point of contact for the finance community in EMEA on business reporting questions.

Responsibilities

  • Be a business partner in driving performance and achieving results (hit the numbers) through support of the overall financial planning process for region EMEA. This includes preparing for and supporting business review meetings, analyzing forecasts, accuracy, budgets, and performing risk analysis.

  • Manage within the matrix functionally, agree on objectives, and be proactive in the development of the agreed plans.

  • Reporting findings to management so that timely adjustments can be made to achieve the objectives.

  • Preparing financial reports, presentations, and recommendations for the management.

  • Deep analysis of OPEX

  • Support the annual forecasting, plan, and strategic planning process

  • Drive business results based on financial analysis and create data insights

  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and risks.

  • Drive and build dashboards (P&L, Balance Sheet, and NWC) within Power BI to create insights and embed this within the EMEA organization.

About You

Education and Experience:

  • University degree level

  • Master’s in business administration, Finance, or Economics preferred

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience gained in a corporate finance environment, preferably within a multi-national, matrix-structured European-based company

  • Experience in distribution companies is a plus

Skills/profile:

  • Enthusiastic, can-do attitude with a professional approach and a flexible mindset.

  • Strong interpersonal, intercultural, and team skills, ability to influence without authority.

  • Good knowledge of business performance management and financial reporting processes and tools

  • Well-developed analytical skills: present complex information in an international environment.

  • Computer skills to effectively use software to analyze financial information, identify trends, and support in preparing forecasts.

  • Experience in using Power BI and building dashboards is an advantage

  • Data analysis requires good knowledge of financial terminology and accounting practices.

  • Business acumen, the ability to understand the current business environment.

  • Accounting skills are necessary. This skill requires knowledge of finance and accounting (IFRS), as well as the ability to interpret data.

  • Sense of ownership combined with a focus on delivering results and making a positive impact on the company.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective in a team-oriented matrix management structure.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners to ensure a deep understanding of the business’s needs.

  • Discrete and sensitive to the needs of a large organization.

  • Strong organizer: delivers accurately, completely, and on time.

  • Problem-solver by use of common sense and a hands-on approach.

  • Able to prioritize effectively.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to reporting deadlines
