Because of this enormous growth and success, we are looking for an ambitious and experienced legal counsel to run the EMEA region.

The Global Legal Department

As the business is growing, we are looking for an enthusiastic and business-savvy legal professional, based in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. The Regional Counsel EMEA reports to the General Counsel and is a member of the Global Legal team. The Regional Counsel EMEA we are looking for will provide business-minded and pragmatic legal support on all commercial, compliance and claims-related matters.

You will be the first point of contact and business partner to all internal stakeholders and act as a project manager while working with external legal professionals within private practice.

Role description

  • Working at a global leading company with an ambitious growth strategy.
  • Responsible position as a business partner to all company group functions, divisions, and regions.
  • You will handle many different legal matters and tasks; mainly focussed on commercial contracting (drafting, reviewing, and negotiating), compliance, and claims.
  • Provide legal advice and support in relation to legal claims and other matters.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and act proactively to minimize liabilities.

Your experience and knowledge

  • Master’s degree in law from a reputable European University.
  • Experience in commercial law and litigation within a European setting with at least 6 years of working experience at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel.
  • A broad experience across the spectrum of legal matters, with a focus on civil law, and contracts (preferably experience with sales and distribution agreements).
  • Experience with compliance and corporate governance is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and preferably Dutch (written and verbal), 3rd European language is a plus.
