About this role
Summary of the Position
The CSR Project Specialist will be entering a dynamic phase in which CSR is progressing, both because of the growing maturity of this subject among our customers, and because of the changing perimeter of the company's activities.
She/he is integrating a two-person team to strengthen the link between our suppliers and our customers and support the development of their CSR initiatives. The mission has a specific focus on supporting CSR projects in the fast-growing personal care business unit, where CSR has become a sales argument. She/he will become the contact person known by its business partners as the ESG-dedicated specialist.
The CSR project specialist may be solicited for regular missions within Europe to accompany sales representatives on customer visits.
This role will imply being able to work in project mode, while responding to day-to-day ESG internal and external requests and will report to the CSR Manager France.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in close collaboration with the local ESG team in order to keep the link between corporate and operational projects.
- Establish a relationship of proximity with customers and suppliers of its area
- Support Business Unit teams in their ESG requests and needs: from ESG questionnaires to events (Roundtables, tradeshows, seminars, etc.)
- Develop and monitor its activity-related ESG KPIs
- Take charge of third-parties ESG questionnaires
- Contribute to ESG reporting: CSR report, Ecovadis evaluation, Sustainable Palm Index, CDP…
- Create and/or contribute to ESG content (newsletter, website…) and support (ppt presentations, brochures, etc)
- Keeps up-to-date and shares structured information about ESG evolution (regulatory, alternative proteins, eco-design….) via monitoring of media, newsletters, and webinars.
- Work independently and in a team environment on various ongoing projects.
- Support and lead by example, Barentz’s culture, values, and fundamentals
- Participate in ongoing personal development opportunities.
About You
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in sustainable development in a multicultural environment,
- commercial relations skills/appetence, ideally with experience working in an international organization
- Experience in CSR policy deployment from various sectors of activity, preferably in Personal care
- Excellent fluency in English and French (both spoken & written)
- Teamwork-oriented, especially in a matrix environment (Geography x Business Unit x department)
- Sense of pedagogy and diplomacy
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to be proactive and creative for the organization and assigned perimeter.
- Self-motivated, high energy, and an engaging level of enthusiasm and positive outlook.
- Flexible on the use of various digital CSR tools to use or create
- Act legally and ethically in all professional relationships in adherence to Barentz’s values and fundamentals.
