The history of our company
Mr. H.L. Barentz founded Barentz Chemische GRONDSTOFFEN B.V. in Amsterdam in 1953. Within the first decades of its existence, the company grew quickly and successfully developed into one of the leading distributors of ingredients and additives within the Dutch market.
Nowadays Barentz is active in 4 industry segments, covering 26 countries, having its own centers of excellence in The Netherlands and its own sourcing company in Asia.

establishment of Barentz N.V. in Zaventem, Belgium - 1992
